Stress

When the load is bigger than the resource and the body runs on mobilisation.

Stress

How it usually shows up

  • Clenched jaw and shoulders
  • Rushing even with small things
  • Hard to switch off and rest

What is happening

Stress itself is not the enemy: it is energy for action. The trouble begins when mobilisation is never followed by recovery and the body lives in “just a bit more and I will rest”.

Under stress, discharge matters more than motivation: breathing, movement and conscious pauses between tasks.

Three first steps right now

  1. Stand up and shake out your arms and legs for 30–60 seconds.
  2. Three minutes of even 5–5 breathing.
  3. Remove one item from today's list.
